Running Soles is Campbellsville's go-to specialty running and walking store, dedicated to helping people of all fitness levels move better and feel better.

They do professional gait analysis to match each customer with the exact right footwear, orthotics, and apparel they need-whether they’re training for a big race, walking for health, or just trying to find relief from foot or back pain on a daily basis.

We recently chatted with store manager, Joey Hartlage about what makes Running Soles so special and what his team loves about being on Main Street.

What makes you excited about coming to work everyday?
The people and the breakthrough moments. There is nothing quite like watching someone walk into the shop struggling with pain or frustration, taking the time to understand their needs, and seeing the absolute relief on their face when they put on a shoe that completely changes how they move. Plus, being deeply connected to our local running and walking community means every day is full of encouragement and shared goals.

What’s your favorite thing about being on Main Street?
For us, it always comes down to the small business community. Being right here in the heart of downtown means we get to work side-by-side with fellow local owners who share that same entrepreneurial grit and passion. Main Street has truly become a go-to destination for traffic coming through Kentucky because our block is loaded with incredible specialty shops. There's a real energy in knowing visitors are seeking out these unique, local storefronts, and we love being part of that collective momentum.

What would you like people to most know about you and your business?

We are more than just a retail store; we are an advocate for your health and a true community hub. You don’t have to be a seasoned athlete or an elite runner to walk through our doors, we serve everyone from walkers and nurses on their feet all day to kids and grandparents. Beyond the shop floor, you’ll find us partnering closely with our local medical community, including hospitals and physical therapists, to ensure people get comprehensive care for their movement needs. We’re also heavily involved in organizing and partnering on local races and supporting our school cross country and track programs. We care deeply about this community, and we’re here to help you take that next step, literally and figuratively.
